Living research gets makeover with $6.7 million Northwestern University building renovation

Northwestern University’s Simpson Querry Institute for Biomedical Research is getting a makeover. The city has approved a $6.7 million renovation/alteration permit for the building at 303 E Superior St. to: “Replace cage washing equipment, upgrade finishes and infill unused floor pits to expand usable area of vivarium, 7,830 sq. ft. at sub-basement level of fully sprinklered high-rise building.”
